A gesture of solidarity to the needy

Apart from prayers and material help already given and which the Sisters continue to do so, the three schools of the province concretely showed their gesture of solidarity by financially contributing to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. On 28 April 2020 a representative consisting of four members namely Sr. Joplin Suchiang, Principal of Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, Sr. Lydia Mary Pala, Principal of Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mawlai and two teachers one from St. Mary Mazzarello Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Jowai and the other from Auxilium Shillong met the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K. Sangma at his office in Shillong and handed over their contribution.

This contribution is the result of a collection by the FMA and the staff of the three schools located in the state of Meghalaya, in Northeast India. “There is more joy in giving than in receiving”, is the attitude that motivated the Leadership and Personnel of the Schools to this gesture of solidarity towards the needy.
