13th May is observed as ‘Mazzarello Day’ a day dedicated to St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello, the Co- Foundress of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. We, the Auxilians got the golden opportunity to honour and express our love to Mary Mazzarello. On this same day we also kept the commemoration of Mary Help of Christians since the 24th happen to be a school holiday.

Mazzarello Club was given the chance of animating the programme for the day. It was a very beautiful morning and we started our program by welcoming our chief Guest Sr. Hilda Barragan a veteran missionary. Sir Nathaniel Lyngdoh along with the Mazzarello Club led the gathering into prayer. The students paid floral tribute to Mother Mary and Mother Mazzarello; it was indeed a beautiful scene to behold, students expressed their deepest love to the two giant figures of our School. The different other items consisted of songs, action songs, skit and dance.  Sr. Hilda Barragan   gave a very inspiring message on ‘3keys’ ‘obedience, love, and discipline’ which we should strive in our lives. Our program got disturb due to a heavy shower and we took it positively as God showering His blessing upon us and so the remaining program   was continued the following day which was another beautiful day, the actual day of the death of Mother Mazzarello, perhaps Mother Mazzarello wanted us to honour her on the real day. The skit by Mazzarello club was a thought provoking invitation to everyone to look deeply on one’s own life and the way we deal with the poor and lowly. We do hope and pray that Mother Mary and St. Mary Mazzarello continue to inspire us to be able to emulate their virtues of simplicity, obedience, humility, dedication and deep love for God in our lives.
