A two day seminar on Social Communication was conducted for the candidates in formation from May 26 – 27, 2011 at Bellefonte. There were 54 participants: Aspirants, Postulants and Novices of the Province of the Immaculate Heart of Mary – Shillong, India.

The messages sent by Sr. Maria Americo Rolim, Councilor for Formation and Sr. Giuseppina Teruggi, Councilor for Social Communications gave a solid orientation to the programme offering concrete suggestions that highlighted the way of being and style of living out the educational mission in this digital era.

The topics dealt with were: Elements of Communication, Types of Communication specifically interpersonal relationship, Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello – Communicators of life to young people, New Technology of Communication and Development of Writing Skills. During the final group work they came up with concrete suggestions for implementation in their respective stages of formation to enable them become critical citizens of the digital world.
