April 26, 2014 was a red letter day in the history of Auxilium Girls’ Secondary School (AGS) when the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. Auxilium was set to give a red carpet welcome to their distinguished Guests Sr. Vilma Tallone Economer General of the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, Sr. Isabella Suja Provincial and Sr. Marcellina Sangma Provincial Economer.

They were felicitated with Aarati as a mark of appreciation and respect for their graceful presence. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp followed by the school band playing the welcome tune. The next event was the March Past. What a feast for the eyes to see the members of different houses and NCC cadets marching sprightly and majestically in sync with the rhythm  of the drums to the school ground for the proceedings. Then came the special moment, the trail blazer, the innovators, torch bearers took the pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem and to deliver their duties to the best of their abilities. The Head Girl Sreyashree Bhowmik, the school captain Raima Debbarma and School Vice-Captain Kritodhee Lahiri took the pledges and badges were pinned on them by Sr. Vilma Tallone. Next the Club Captain, Bus Captain and Class Captain were sworn in by the three leaders Sreyashee, Raima and Kritodhee. To commemorate the grand event an eye captivating short cultural event was put up which was followed by short inspirational, motivating speech of the special guest. The ceremony ended with Sr. Marylang Suchiang delivering the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
