On March 11, 2013, the teachers of Auxilium Nongthymmai, Sacred Heart Mawlai and Lurshai Morning School, FMA-Outreach attended the teachers’ seminar on ‘Counselling’ at Auxilium Girls’ Hr. Secondary School. Br. Joe Johnson from St. Edmunds college was a truly dynamic resource person.

On March 11, 2013, the teachers of Auxilium Nongthymmai, Sacred Heart Mawlai and Lurshai Morning School, FMA-Outreach attended the teachers’ seminar on ‘Counselling’ at Auxilium Girls’ Hr. Secondary School. Br. Joe Johnson from St. Edmunds college was a truly dynamic resource person.

He animated the teachers the entire day without any sign of exhaustion. The teachers enjoyed the session so much that they lost track of time. The sessions were an eye opener to all teachers. What made the sessions very interesting and lively was the active participation of the teachers in the discussion. In the end the teachers were given the opportunity of displaying their skills at counseling. Each teacher had to play the role of a counselor or a counselee. This practical counseling session was truly and immensely enjoyed by all for the humour as well as the learning process involved. It was all in all an enriching session and it provided the participants a chance to reflect on how they can help to promote the quality of life and create a learning environment that facilitates their individual development.
