A well animated morning prayer set the tone of thanksgiving which last for the whole day through. At 9.30 am was the inauguration of the Exhibition (pooling of goods by the communities) by Rev. Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, Provincial.  The centre of the day was the celebration of the meal of love – Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. L.B. Anthony, Rector Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong. The different groups constituting the Sisters, candidates in formation, young people, Past-pupils and Salesian co-operators  staged out their meaningful and appropriate items adding colour, joy and grandeur to the day’s celebration. Winding up the day was the powerful message of Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, Provincial inviting everyone in the province to renew our lives and work wholeheartedly for the sake of the Kingdom.

Prior to this on December 17, 2010 was the Provincial Assembly which constituted the Provincial Councillors, Provincial Team Members, Animators, Headmistresses and Economers of the different houses of the Province.

The Provincial assembly opened with a Penitential Service and followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation.Thereafter, at the outset the consolidated reports from every community was projected and was given a critical analysis by Rev. Sr. Bernadette Sangma. The following day was an enriching day where the resource person helped the assembly to re-visit the constitutions and the three  recent documents of the Institute with the following viewpoints: following of Jesus, Trinitarian communion, Ecclesial communion, presence of Mary, educative mission anthropological vision and enhancement of cultures and contexts. This would in turn help each FMA to discover the key ideas that guide our vocation today. The participants were then divided into groups for the discussion of the topic dealt with.

The last day of the Provincial Assembly saw the members with a group work on setting priorities at personal, community and provincial levels. This culminated with the General Assembly wherein the reports of the group discussion was consolidated and would take into effect for the new year 2011.
