The Foundation Day of the Insitute August 5 saw nine new members to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Province, Shillong at Bellefonte.’, ‘

Christ Jesus has made me his own (Phil. 3:12) was the theme of the nine Sisters who committed themselves to the Lord through the First Religious Profession. Amidst family members and Sisters of the Province the young women pronounced their “Yes” to be at the service of young people. Salesian Provincial of Silchar Province, Rev. Fr. George Maliekal the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharistic celebration invited the newly professed to live the joys and challenges of religious life. He also told the faithful present to be generous and support their children with prayers.

During the rite of the religious profession Sr. Isabllea Suja, the Provincial welcomed the newly professed to the family as members with temporay vows. We pray that the Lord who has begun this good work in each of them will also bring it to its completion as said Paul, the apostle.

The nine newly professed belong to the dioceses of Shillong, Jowai and Nongstoin.
